Dinelli
Painting, folding, crumpling and setting architecture
After studying photography and the arts, I worked in Paris as a graphic designer in advertising, before turning to sculpture, my first passion, and even teaching modelling in Bali during a two-year stay.
Back in Paris in 2000, I worked in pastel on the theme of architecture in motion. My “Paris Rooftops” and “Rooftops of the World” series earned me numerous awards.
Since 2010 I have been working in oil on the theme of contemporary Habitats. I paint, fold, crumple and set architecture, façades and rooftops.
These paintings, deconstructed on a three-dimensional canvas, question the permanence and durability of the architecture of these habitats, between the temptation of the disposable and a fascination with forms and materials.
Since 2023 I have extended my exploration of contemporary Habitats through the apartments of illuminated buildings, true windows onto the lives they shelter.
